Pay & Play
Drop In Sessions
Due to the current COVID situation these classes are currently cancelled
Run all year round, these drop in play sessions run every Tuesday and Friday 1.00-2.30. The sessions are supervised but unstructured so children explore the gym under parents’ supervision. There is no need to book for these sessions.
For children aged 6 years and under.
Parent & Child
Run during term-time only, these sessions are designed to introduce children to gymnastics. Children come in with their parent/carer and participate in action songs and structured circuits on specialised gym apparatus where they learn how to jump, balance, swing, climb, roll and much more under the watchful eye of our qualified coaches.
For children aged 18 months to 3 years old.
Run during term-time only, these are structured sessions where the children come in on their own. Circuits are created using all the equipment in the gym, and each term the classes follow one of the British Gymnastics ‘Fundamental’ themes. The emphasis is on FUN and the children work towards a badge each term.
For children aged 3-4 years.
Our ‘Stepping Stone’ sessions are a condensed version of our ‘Gymnastics For All’ classes where the children are introduced to the style of learning in a quieter and calmer environment so as not to overwhelm them. The children are integrated into the GFA classes towards the end of the summer term, as and when spaces become available.
For children in Reception at school.
Gymnastics For All (GFA)
These classes are well structured and offer the gymnast the chance to familiarise themselves with the four main pieces of apparatus – vault, bars, beam and floor. These classes provide an enjoyable experience with the opportunity to perform to friends and family at our annual Christmas Competition.
For children aged 5 (year 1) to 17 years old.
Available to any Gymstars member aged 8 or older who is interested in doing more gymnastics. This class is in addition to their current class and focuses on further developing skills learned in the ‘GFA’ sessions, particularly on floor and vault. Although the opportunity is open to anyone, the coaches reserve the right to withdraw the space if they feel the class is not of benefit to an individual.
For Gymstars members aged 8 years and older.
Development, Novice and Advanced.
Children may be invited to work in an specific group which will provide an opportunity to further advance their skills as well as work towards local competitions.
